Editors I recommend…
Looking for an editor for your poems? These are the editors I trust with mine.
Sthuthukile Biyela
Based in: South Africa
Sthuthukile’s has been writing poetry 13 years and is an experienced editor in the publishing industry. Over a year ago, she decided to pursue poetry editing as her niche, and we’ve been able to partner together on a number of books. She’ll always somehow find the sentence that perfectly sums up an author’s writing style, plus she catches all the small things that add up to make your work shine.
For Sithu (for short!), purpose and poetry go hand in hand. She’s fascinated by the purpose behind the words, and will focus on how to use your voice, storytelling and themes to enhance it. Her approach is to ensure that every line is consistent with your purpose. You’ll find she LOVES to be collaborative, and is always the kind voice you need when you’re trying to do something as brave as get a book out there!
You’ll especially enjoy working with Sithu if you write about:
trauma and healing,
identity and self-discovery, or
romance.

Eleana Norton
Based in: Mexico
Eleana and I met when we worked on her first poetry collection Little Dancers together in 2022. A year later, she began editing. And the year after that, she edited my poetry collection The Garden That You’re Growing.
She’s now worked with over 40 authors, and is working on her second collection. She loves helping writers see the best in their work and find their niche. Eleana knows just what it’s like to be a first-time author and is passionate about helping those who are new to the editing process. You’ll find she’ll become your cheerleader. Oh, and she’s also a primary school teacher!
You’ll especially enjoy working with Eleana if you:
write free verse, experimental or prose poetry,
incorporate Christian themes into your work, or
are publishing your first book.
