If you and your husband or boyfriend are celebrating your anniversary soon, I’ve rounded up 11 romantic poems that I think will work for the occasion. Most of them will still work if you’re a man wanting a poem for your wife or girlfriend—I just think of these poems as ‘for him’ because I wrote them for my ‘him’!
There’s a reason that out of all the things people can write poems about, love is the most common. When you love someone, you just can’t help but express it. You may wish to share a poem as a little love note left on the counter, an image sent over text while they’re at work, or write it in your anniversary card.

You know how when you’re first together, you have all these ‘firsts’ to get excited about. When you’re married, the initial excitement fades, but you find this beautiful peace in the life you’re still building together. That’s what I wrote ‘long time love’ about.
